So here I am; at the airport twiddling my thumbs for the next 9 hours, waiting for my flight. Ok it’s really only another 5, but the grand total will be 9, and that’s all that really matters. I don’t remember the last time I’ve felt such an odd mixture of boredom and anxiety. I feel like I’m being pulled at from two opposing forces, and unfortunately, it’s keeping me from being able to take a nap… Maybe that’s a good thing, though… So since I have nothing else to put in my first post, here’s a picture of my gate for your viewing pleasure.

We alll miss you too buddy. I went by your room this morning and realized wow, I need to rent that room out for the next 5 months.(just kidding) We feel and in a real way experience each others excitement and anxieties because we are family. I will be checking your blog every day, great idea. Looking forward to hearing from you and seeing what you see. Love Dad

Hey Ben, Sorry you had such a long wait! We love you so much; can’t wait to see all the adventures that the Lord has instore for you on this trip. Please hang in there and don’t have any judgements for the first two weeks…all change feels “not so much” to start out with. OK, end of sermon…..keep us posted.

Nice gate, young man ! Was your flight itinerary to the west or to the east ie. Hawaii or the Azores . And what are you eating ? Hopefully not those sausage wieners that we had on the kayaking adventure . (Was I in your way going down the rapids!!) I heard your mother had a going-away party when you left. After you left ! Keep us all posted .

Hi Buddy, Gurgi has taken over your bed, but he does look sad and lonely. I was going to send you a picture of him today but could not find my camera. Hope you are checking out the land for a great fly fishing adventure. You can find out whre all the good fishing places are. Hope you have a good internet connection wherever you end up. This print is so small I am not going to be able to correct any of my mistakes. I love you and miss you.
